In Placencia, it’s hard to get by under $20usd as a single tramper; but if you are two or three strong, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Lydia’s Guest House is your best bet for a bed. The rooms are clean and fan-cooled. The shared bathrooms are spacious with hot and cold water. There is a kitchen available for the guests to use. But the best part of all is the view. A perfectly quaint porch with comfy Adirondack chairs is the perfect place to drink your rum punch and watch our over the beach to the sea.

Lydia is the perfect host, always up for conversation and always there to tell you like it is.

“You want to be careful with that coconut milk. Don’t drink to much of it, it will make you go to the bathroom,” she said softly-yet-seriosuly as she walked into the house.  Take me back to PLACENCIA.
