Getting to juayua is easy. From San Salvador you need only get a bus to Sonsonante for a dollar. The you can grab a bus to Juayua for 80 cents (follow the direction the Ruta de las Flores).

Or you can go the fun and cheap route (best not done directly from San Salvador, but from La libertad or Sonsonante) Flag down a pick up truck and hop in — its free (you can give a tip, if you’d like) and you have a lot more space and fresh air — definitely preferable.
