San Salvador/La Libertad/Ataco >> Juayua
Getting to Juayua is easy. From San Salvador you need only get a bus to Sonsonate for a dollar. Then you can grab a bus to Juayua for 80 cents (follow the direction the Ruta de las Flores).
Or you can go the fun and cheap route (best not done directly from San Salvador, but from La libertad) Flag down a pick up truck and hop in — its free (if you’d like you can offer a tip which they will probably refuse) and you have a lot more space and fresh air — definitely preferable. You can do it the other way too. Leaving the Rutas de las Flores from Sansonate by bus to Mizata you can hitch, quite easily, down the La Costa del Balsamos to other surf towns along the way. The buses are really cheap too.
