Panama City

Hustling, bustling and offering pretty much all a metropolitan destination has to offer, Panama City is certainly a sight to see in Central America. Sure everybody comes knowing of the Miraflores locks in the world-famous Panama Canal. Visit in the afternoon to watch the massive ships passing through. But you can also wander throughout Casco Viejo where it won’t be hard to pick up some souvenirs and trinkets and find a bite to eat as well. There are also some parks worth visiting  — Cerro Ancon and Metropolitan National Park, both located in the city and both boasting great varieties of birds and wildlife to observe.

The Albrook bus terminal in Panama City is huge and can be daunting — from here you can grab the TICA buses, a bus to any of the airports in the city and the local metro as well. Not to mention there is a mall attached if you’re in the mood for a movie or some shopping.
