Oasis
In Granada, you step out to the streets and feel as though you are instantly going to collapse from heat exhaustion. It’s that hot. But don’t worry, Oasis is an on-budget hostel with shade, copious fans and a SWIMMING POOL. Of course it’s not $5usd like the other hostels in town, but there is a SWIMMING POOL!
There are new computers and wi-fi to use, free coffee and pastries in the morning and the beds are all firm, clean. There are lockers for each bed and a fan.
Dorm beds are $9usd and a private double is $20usd. There are some other more expensive options here, including air conditioning — but those prices aren’t quite on budget.
There is a great kitchen here and the open air courtyards help bring a nice breeze through. It’s also meticulously cleaned each morning and evening.

La Casita
Situated in the same area as La Libertad and The Bearded Monkey, La Casita is a good budget option if you’re looking for quiet and not a lot of socializing.
It’s the definition of basic and with no courtyard it can get pretty steamy here — but there are fans. It’s surely the cheapest option, and if you’re in a group you’ll definitely be out socializing enough on your own.
At only $5usd for a dorm bed, this place has the lock on cheap digs. A private triple runs only $18usd and $14usd for a private double.
And of course, there is free wi-fi here and kitchen use.
