Go to Little Corn Island.
If it is an option you are even remotely considering, abandon any competing destinations and head straight there; by bus, by boat, by plane — however you can afford, JUST GO.
By the time we finally arrived to Little Corn it had been three nights, one of which spent on 12-hour cargo ship ride, and four days of sitting on hot, sweaty buses or boats but we were unwavering in our instant and overwhelming love and appreciation for this island paradise.
The people are friendly, the beaches are perfectly adequate (not the broadest or whitest in the Caribbean, but honestly, who would even notice?) and lobster costs less than chicken — Go to Little Corn Island.
