Juayua

If you’re debating going to El Salvador because you haven’t heard much about the towns there aside from surfing — Go to Juayua.

Nestled in the mountains you won’t be surfing or sunbathing, but if you come on the weekends you won’t even miss it. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, but the open-air food vendors marginalize any other plans you might have had. And with one of the most hospitable hostels found anywhere, Juayua is a must see town in Central America.

GETTING // GOING          •          SLEEPING

Take me back to EL SALVADOR // Take me HOME

  1. Hey guys!
Hotel Anahuac jn Juayua seemed nice, but Hostel Casa Mazeta has the same price (9/night) and it’s a big, clean and interesting place!:) the owner is a nice and friendly English guy, we played cards with him in the evening 🙂 they have a big kitchen and fridge you can use, coffee is 50 cents a cup, they have lots of information, a map,…. I’m extending my stay here because of them :))))

Have you been? Are you going? Tell us about it!
